My heart has been broken for a while now
But I deny it every time it occurs to me
I have improvised our conversations for books
The lyrics in my favourite songs comfort me
I find solace in some poetry
And I pour my heart out on a page when I need to cry
In the middle of the night

I try to meditate
But then again
It’s your voice that lulls me to sleep
I’m in love with you
And knowing that we can’t be is what makes it hurt
But I will save your voice
I will keep our memories
